INTRODUCTION BALI CARE FOUNDATION

Bali Care Foundation is a foundation created and started by Kees Hermus and Dirk Monsieurs. As two students during our internship period in Bali during the corona crisis, we wanted to do something for Bali and its people. Therefore, we launched a donation campaign and used the money raised to provide food packages to the poorest of the poor. It was extremely shocking to see so many families living and working in inhumane conditions in Bali. That while for many tourists, this island is primarily known as a beautiful vacation destination.

It was heartwarming to see how grateful the people were with this for us small gesture. The joy on their faces was unforgettable. This experience gave us the idea of establishing a foundation to do something structurally for this population.

Bali Care Foundation was established and Mark Dam was happy to serve on the board as secretary. Mark is a friend and also did an internship in Bali during his studies. As a result, he feels very involved with the island, its people and the foundation. Bali Care Foundation has established a local team of volunteers working with various agencies and other aid organizations to work together to achieve our goals.

We believe in change. You too?

WHY DONATE TO US?

  1. The Bali Care Foundation is a young, innovative and driven foundation that wants and continues to work for the underprivileged in Bali;
  2. With a growing reach on our social media, we are all about making an impact and thinking in structural solutions;
  3. Our focus is on sustainable, local and structural solutions;
  4. Through a large network on Bali itself, we really know how to reach and help the underprivileged;
  5. Our passion and perseverance creates impact in Bali.

The Bali Care Foundation makes it possible for companies to (structurally) support the foundation’s goal financially. With the help of a compassionate, motivated and active board, opportunities to donate can be discussed.

For example, the foundation has held several fundraisers and sponsor runs in the past. Look for our current partners on this page.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Donating to a project creates a positive impact for the people of Bali. As a donor, you can indicate a preference as to what your donation will be used for. This allows the foundation to focus on the 4 major pillars for the coming periods.

As a donor, you can choose in which term you donate and the amount. All donations are welcome and will be fully used to realize the project. With structural donors, the Bali Care Foundation can provide structural improvement in Bali.

It is possible to promote cooperation with the foundation within your own network. Our standard website and social media links can be used for this purpose. Promotion on our website is possible in consultation with the foundation, please contact the board at: info@balicarefoundation.com

THESE COMPANIES HAVE GONE BEFORE YOU

WHAT DOES IT OFFER YOUR ORGANIZATION?

As a donor to our foundation, you demonstrate your commitment to bringing structural change to Bali. We are therefore very proud of our donors both corporate and individual, because every donation makes a difference. In addition, we want to make it as easy as possible for your company to show the outside world that you support us. Our social media channels are therefore actively in use, demonstrably showing the difference.

As a foundation, we are open to requests; such as stopping by your organization to tell you about the foundation to thinking along in actions. As can be seen on our website, we focus on four pillars:

  1. Education;
  2. Infrastructure;
  3. Water filters/clean drinking water;
  4. Sustainable development/production of products.
As an organization, you can choose to make a general donation, or specifically on one of our ongoing projects. With our local partners and volunteers, we can be proactive and know exactly what your donation is being used for. Transparency is therefore an important theme in our operations.

HOW DO I KNOW IF THE MONEY WILL BE PUT TO GOOD USE?

As an ANBI registered foundation, we make every effort to ensure that your donation goes to the right place. Because we have ANBI status, we are required to use at least 90% of our donations for their general purpose. The remaining 10% is for structural overhead costs such as hosting and a periodic donation to our local volunteers. For more information about our expenses can be read on this page.

I STILL HAVE QUESTIONS AS AN ORGANIZATION, HOW DO I CONTACT YOU?

You can always fill out the contact form on our contact page. We will get back to you with an answer as soon as possible. We can also be reached through our social media and email: info@balicarefoundation.com
